Sound All Around Brass
The Philadelphia Orchestra puts on wonderful educational programs for kids and families. There are two coming up at the Academy of Music Ballroom featuring brass instruments:

Holiday Brass
Anyone in the New York City area on December 15th at 3:00pm- be sure to catch Phil Smith, my childhood friend, fellow Salvation Army member, and principal trumpet of the New York Philharmonic in concert. He is performing with other principal brass players from the orchestra in their holiday program. Besides being a fantastic trumpet player, Phil is a great personal friend and wonderful Christian.

The Christmas cantata, “The Mystery and the Majesty“, written by Joseph Martin will be performed by the forty voice Neshaminy Presbyterian Church Sanctuary Choir, accompanied by 11 instrumentalists, under the direction of Suzanne Zak.
“From the jubilant glories to gentle manger lullabies, this inspirational cantata celebrates the wonder and splendor of Christmas! Traditional carols and newly composed seasonal anthems blend with thoughtful narration to help create a meaningful experience for your community of faith.”
